Summer Performing Arts Camp

Mandatory parent meeting for all families involved in Jubilate Performing Arts. Please bring your calendar for the 2018-2019 school year. We will be discussing classes, philosophy of teaching, important dates, family and student responsibilities, recitals, and the Artisan and Craft Faire. Crafts and snacks will be provided for children ages 2-6. Please bring your own water or beverages for your children.
Jubilate Performing Arts presents four days of fun and learning for children ages five to sixteen at their Performing Arts Camp, July 23-26, 2018. This fast-track course combines musicianship, stage movement, and acting, with a focus on the fundamentals of creative collaboration.
Rachelle Dart will lead us on a journey through swashbuckling sound, with stage combat, drama, and more. Violin, viola, cello, piano, keyboard, and percussion will be combined with acting and movement throughout the workshop. Composers Harrison Cole and Laya Field will instruct the musical aspects of this dynamic performance.
Space is limited. Need-based scholarships are available to help with tuition costs. Students who sign up before May 15, 2018, will receive a private lesson during the week of the camp.

After School Music Classes
Spring Semester 2018 at Christ Anglican Church Community Hall
Our musical curriculum includes ear training, music theory, sight singing, harmonization, and the technical mastery of voice or instrument. Our choral music is a mixture of both educational and sacred works.
We are offering two sessions during the Spring semester:
- First Session: January 22, 2018–March 17, 2018; student recital on March 17 at 11am.
- Second Session: March 19, 2018–May 19, 2018; student recital on May 19 at 11am.
(Please note: there will be no classes held March 23–30)

Classes are each 8–12 weeks in length. Space is limited!
Violin instruction in the style of Kato Havas. The focus of this style of teaching is on developing freedom in playing, and the ability to sight read music. Students will participate in the end of semester recital . 8 week courses, Semester 1 beginning Thursday, January 25th. Instructor, Laya Field.

Each class will begin with Bel Canto vocal instruction along with a discussion concerning the basics for singing in a choir, following a conductor, and working together as a team. This will be followed by a traditional choir rehearsal. Students will participate in the end of semester recitals. 8 week courses. Instructor, Laya Field with Karen Janusz accompanying on piano.
Ages 7-16: Tuesdays 4:00–5:00pm. Tuition $160.00, plus $15.00 Registration Fee.
Beginning class in percussion where students explore different instruments, notation, and learn to create music together in an ensemble. Will participate in the final recital.
Ages 6-12 Wednesdays 3:30–4:15. Tuition $120.00, plus $15.00 Registration Fee.
First Semester: not offered for first semester

Scholarships for classes and private tutorials available.
- Student must be enrolled in Jubilate Violin Orchestra, or Advanced Ensemble (violin, choir, ukulele).
- Student’s family must have financial need. (explain)
- Student must demonstrate an interest in music and willingness to learn by practicing at home.
